Meet Bei Bei, our milder temperament yet adventurous Syrian hamster! We got him and his brother (Co Co) in January 2018. The brothers were born on the 04 Dec 2017.

Look at those baby eyes that Bei Bei had. So sparkly and bright!

I always love his mild and gentle temperament ~ much easier to take glam photographs of him! :)

Look at those paws and innocent face...

Despite his mild and gentle temperament compared to Co Co, we did catch him doing something extremely adventurous!

Bei Bei ESCAPED. TWICE.

It was 530am in the morning and my mom was about to leave home for the market. She was walking along the mini walkway to her room to find the house keys in the dark, shining her torchlight.. when she saw this little guy .... (!!)

(our helper also later informed us that she had seen Bei in her room the previous morning too haha. We we wondered why she did not share with us earlier ö)

As his house is below the steps... he would have to climb up the stairs to end up at that spot where my mother found him! I wonder where he was going to ... and what would have happened if my mom had not found him.

Ever since then, we decided to place heavy books above their grills (yes, there was already grills and yet he could escape!) We also wondered if Bei had actually escaped and went back home by himself prior to this adventure. Hmm.. I guess we will never find out.

Bei now, looking slightly older than before

One Sunday, while cleaning up Bei Bei's home, I felt / saw something on his cheeks. It was like a growth/tumour inside his mouth and it did not look like a food pouch. We brought him to the vet, and the Doctor suspected it might be a tumour. There was nothing much she could do other than to encourage me to just keep him happy :)

As his weight was also on a lower side (82g), we were also asked to feed him critical care!

He was extremely cooperative when I fed him, and seemed to really like it as well.

A week or two down the road, I noticed that the lump/growth had subsided miraculously. His weight has also gone up (now maintaining around 96g)

I'll keep you happy, little guy. Stay strong, and we'll be here for you whenever you need.

These little guys though small, take up a huge space in our hearts!
