May 25, 2020, 9:15pm: "do you think our pond can take one more terrapin?"
My brother's fiancée found this little guy at her void deck. Poor fella must have gotten abandoned as its' previous owners were doing some spring cleaning and didn't want to care for it anymore. Terrible :(
It was during the circuit breaker period, so we couldn't leave the house unless it was considered to be an essential task. Well, I would like to believe rehoming this little guy is essential! From the photo that my brother's fiancée sent, it was rather hard to tell how big this guy was... but without much hesitation we just decided to take it in first.

Seemed quite big when she held it in her palm hehe...

They tried feeding it a slice of apple. Think the ant was more interested in it than this poor fella.

Back home in our garden! Much smaller than we had imagined it to be, and really much smaller compared to the two bigger ones we had!

We had to separate this fella from the others for two weeks as a quarantine-procedure as we had no medical history for it.
Why did we name it Paul?
My brother named it Paul because it was lost (probably looking for his owner who abandoned him), and was found by a kind-hearted girl who had compassion for it. Paul is a character in the bible who also was lost-spiritually, yet found by God who had compassion for him. :)
I was initially quite confident Paul was a male.. however as I examined it again, it might actually be a female! But whatever it is, if it's a female, Pauline could be its name too :p
That's it for this post on Paul - our new addition to the farm!
